Tears For Fears

Sat 29 June | Jupiler Stage | 19:45 - 21:00

Tears For Fears plays Parkpop Saturday Night!

Tears For Fears embodies the distinctive sound of the eighties: atmospheric, danceable synthesizer pop, produced to perfection. The duo shook up the music world with their iconic and influential releases such as The Hurting (1983) and Songs From The Big Chair (1985) and hit songs like Everybody Wants To Rule The World, Shout and Mad World. In their lyrics, serious social issues such as depressions are addressed. Those lyrics are strengthened through the band’s atmospheric sound with synthesizers, samplers, drums and guitar effects. Even now - more than 35 years after their first release - their influence in contemporary rock and pop is still strongly present in the sound of bands like Editors and Arcade Fire. Tears For Fears will also bring along their new record to The Hague in June, which is set for release next year. Shout, shout, let it all out!
